Getting Ready for Fall Shows

I've been working hard getting ready for fall shows! The first big one is this Saturday, Oct. 9, at Fishers High School on Promise Road from 9 - 3. It's entitled "Christmas in October" (even though it is supposed to be 80 degrees outside), so I've had on the Christmas music to help put me in the mood. Take a look at some of the new goodies I'll be bringing along :-)

Back from the delightfully cool air of Michigan to the mugglies of Indiana. Heat Index of 105 today - ugh. This is a grandkiddy weekend for me, so before they all descend, here are some Victorian sweeties I usually keep in stock!

Sculptural florals and bellflowers

After going to the Bead and Button show in Milwaukee in early June, I was inspired by Nolly Gelsinger to expand on my sculptural flower forms. That inspiration along with the purchase of a couple of Carlo Dona (Murano glass tool maker maestro) bell flower presses gave rises to the following neckpiece statement - along with sweet little bell flower earrings. I also discovered the joys of Carnelian opalino glass. Can't imagine why I neglected the opalilno glasses for so long; they are just perfect for flower petals! Enjoy my glass garden :-)

Long time no see!

Phew! I've been away from this blog for way too long. And since I never mastered the Dreamweaver program for my website, I have had my web addresses redirected to this blog. From now on, this will be my presence on the web :-) All of this is due to some wonderful ISLAGA friends, Lisa Atchison and Robin Koza, who helped me with all the technicalities - Thanks ladies :-) Just wanted to show a little of what I have been working on lately - raised florals. .

Wow, I've been using facebook so much I forgot to blog! Just finished doing the WAMM (Wine Art Music Microbrew) in Greenwood and am now getting ready to set up my tent in the Pendleton Heritage Fair on Sept. 11-12. Come on out and see me :-)

Hello!  I am really new to this blogging thing, so there are no pictures yet. . . Today I went to Borders and picked up my copy of Artist's Way to join in a 

Faceboook book club.      And I cleaned beads -- yippee!  I finally got Triton glass to strike.  Pix later :-)
