Some of the results from art fairs to which I have applied are coming in. I will definitely be at the Women in Art Market at the Eitlejorg Museum in Indianapolis on Saturday, March 23 and at the Brick Street Market in Zionsville on Saturday, May 18. But it's not time yet to hear from Talbot Street Art Fair - here's hoping! I have updated my events page with this years coming shows, so take a look:-) Other big news - On April 18 I will be having these droopy eyelids fixed - good thing there are no shows in April, as I will be off the torch with black eyes about a week!

The Indiana Art Fair at the State Museum is over and I am back in the studio dreaming of spring while the driveway is iced to the max! Some of my newer creations include these mini-corsages and brooches - of course the floral theme is still going strong!
Of course, there are still plenty of mini-leis and the new silk cords with floral clusters coming too:
And springy pendants and sets. The jury is still out on most of the spring shows, but check back, as I will be adding them to my calendar as I hear.
And last, but not least, Seamus the leprechaun wishes you a Happy St. Paddy's day!

In the good news department , I just found out that I juried into the Eiteljorg Winter Market on Saturday Dec. 1st, 2012 and also into the Indiana State Museum's Indiana Art Fair on Feb. 15-16, 2013. Add in St. Lukes UMC Holiday Bazaar on Nov. 10, 2012 and Brown County Craft Guild Winter Craft Fair on Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 23-24, 2012 and it makes for busy times in the studio. Yes, I have started snowflakes, angels, and snowmen:-)

Here we are deep into fall show season and I do have a new design to show off to you. These lovely floral clusters feature heavy petaled flowers stitched securely to handmade silk stuffed cord. This cord is SO comfortable to wear . . .a little like a combination of scarf and necklace. The leaves are made by me as well and I sprinkled a few seed beads up the cord for whimsy.

The weather has been absolutely gorgeous, making it hard to discipline myself to stay inside the studio making glass flowers when I want to be out playing in the real ones! But I HAVE been working to get ready for the Zionsville Brick Street Market tomorrow, Saturday, May 19, 2012 where you will find me at booth 614 on the corner of Cedar and Main from 10-5. I'm really excited to announce that next month you will find me at the historic Talbot Street Art Fair in downtown Indianapolis on Saturday and Sunday, June 9 and 10, 2012. This is a "bucket list" show for me and I'm thrilled to have juried in. The beads and baubles include some new coiled wirework designs with lots of flowers, and lots of scrumptious floral mini-leis!

As you can tell, I am not good at keeping up with the blog! It's been super busy since I last blogged in May: my daughter got married, my Mom closed her home and moved to a retirement village here in Pendleton, I did eight shows, attended the ISGB Gathering, took three classes, and hosted Thanksgiving and two Christmases. But now it's January and I am tucked in to the studio thinking of spring jewelry and sending in art fair applications. I've been working on some ideas that have been percolating in the back of my mind for a while. These are my chunky floral bracelets with ribbon extenders converting them into necklaces.
